Tried a new experiment this year after fearing I was ruined for tomatoes forever after having the ones in Greece. Experimented with a new heirloom seed variety I had heard about and dumped a bunch of the ash from the fire pit into the soil, what with the whole “we don’t live near a volcano” thing. These are the best damn tomatoes we have ever grown.
As a small scale grower, we are always looking for varieties of vegetables that don't skimp on flavor in favor of yield, and for the past couple of years, @row7seeds has combined both of those traits into some amazing varieties that have become staples on our farm.
From the Habanada pepper (a heatless habanero) to the Badger Flame beet which doesn't even taste like a beet (more of a carrot, rooty sweetness flavor) to our absolute favorite from them thus far, the Upstate Abundance potato that produces small white "B" grade creamer potatoes that are like no other!
This year we are excited to try one of their new releases, the Sweet Prince tomato. These beauties are described as anything but an ordinary cherry tomato as far as flavor goes, pairing well with optimum disease resistance and production.
As a bonus, every seed sold at Row 7 is certified organic and supports public plant breeding projects and endeavors instead of giving it to large corporations.
